Mars Wrigley was looking to promote and invigorate consumer adoption of chewing Extra Gum at Walmart. In order to drive trial, sales and velocity, Mars Wrigley implemented a “Try Me Free” offer during the promotional period. Consumers learned about the offer through digital media hosted by Mars Wrigley and in-store POS materials. Consumers were directed to a dedicated microsite where they inputted their name and email address. Consumers were sent their BARCODE BUCK$ digital offer via email that was valid one free package of Extra Slim Pack (from among the designated SKUs), up to $1.00.
